ROSCOMARE ROAD IN SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Exposure to the performing arts is an integral part of a well-rounded education. It provides students with opportunities for self-expression and creativity, while also fostering teamwork and discipline. Through Imagination In Action's Performing Arts Enrichment Programs, students will have access to professional vocal and dance instructors, who not only have decades of training and expert experience in the performing arts, but also, years of working in several existing LAUSD performing arts curriculums. IIA's new program will continue to enhance the students' artistic, music, vocal, physical, emotional, cognitive, historical, cultural, and even foreign language skills.
Imagination In Action's curriculum for Roscomare’s In School Enrichment Program is designed to introduce students to various aspects of music and dance styles from around the Globe through the performing art disciplines of music/vocal and dance training as well as live performance experience. The program aims to foster creativity, confidence, teamwork and collaboration, as well as cultural appreciation among students.
Through two separate cohorts, divided quarterly, each class/student will have music and voice or dance instruction weekly, all of which will focus on a final goal of one public performance each semester: The Winter Sing and the Spring Multicultural Concert. Additionally, IIA's instructors will aid in the final performance, at the end of the year, for the Culminating 5th Grade Class.
